Augusta, GA – Entered into rest Tuesday, November 22, 2011 at University Hospital, Mr. Wendall James Reed, 80, husband of 56 years to Mrs. Betty H. Reed. Other family members include brothers: Russell Reed and the late Don Reed.
Mr. Reed was a native of Paxton, IL. He retired after 28 years of service in the U.S. Army. He was a member of the George Walton Masonic Lodge #699 F&AM in Augusta, GA and was Worshipful Master in 1994. He was a loving husband and friend.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, November 26, 2011 at 2:00 P.M. in the Chapel of Thomas Poteet & Son with Dr. Michael Davenport and Rev. Don Wilson officiating. Interment will follow at Westover Memorial Park. Pallbearers will be David Smith, Vernon Hargrove, Herb Moxley, Ralph Herndon, Robert Corbin, and Don Berry.
