Obituary

In Taunton, November 21, 2011 of Silver Street in Taunton Alexander husband of Mary (Slyvinski) Korkolonis died at Morton Hospital in Taunton at the age of 94. Born and educated in Boston, Alexander was the son of the late Martin and Marcella Korkolonis. Alexander was a veteran of the US Army in WWII as a First Lieutenant Company Commander during D Day at Omaha Beach and the Battle of the Bulge. He founded and was the past President of Assonet Industries in Assonetu since 1953 to present. Alexander enjoyed boating, fishing, traveling and the Boston Red Sox. He was the father of Alexander Korkolonis Jr of Taunton and Robert Korkolonis and his companion Maureen of Taunton. Brother of the late Stephen Korkolonis and uncle of many loving nieces and nephews. Funeral from the O’Keefe-Wade Funeral Home, 70 Washington Street in Taunton Monday, November 28th at 8:30 AM. A Mass will be at Holy Rosary Church in Taunton at 9:30 AM. Calling hours will be held on Sunday from 3-6 PM. Interment St. Joseph Cemetery in Taunton. In lieu of flowers donations in Alexander’s memory may be made to the Salvation Army, 440 Nyack Road, West Nyack, NY, 10994.
