Foster, Freda (Ackerman) of Hull, passed away November 16, 2011.
Beloved wife of the late John L. Foster. Loving sister of Randel Ackerman of FL, and the late Eva Bell Greer, Volney Ackerman, Robert Ackerman, and Arthur Ackerman. Also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Freda was a lifelong resident of the Town of Hull. She was a registered nurse and worked at MA General Hospital, Harvard Medical School and the Columbia Presbyterian Medical Center in New York. She was a United States Navy Veteran and served during the Korean Conflict. Freda was given a special commendation by the United States Coast Guard for her participation in the successful rescue of a gentlemen who fell overboard from the M/V Vineyard Queen into Boston Harbor on April 20, 1966.
Services for Freda will be private.
