Sophie A. (Korzeniowski) Anderson, 96, previously of 2nd Avenue, died November 21, 2011 in St. Antoine Residence. She was the wife of the late Carl A. Anderson. Born in Blackstone, she was the daughter of the late Stefan and Michalina (Gruszka) Korzeniowski.
Mrs. Anderson had worked for many years as a molder for Reliance Plastics, Woonsocket. Sophie enjoyed making people smile. She will be remembered as a very giving person who especially enjoyed her grandchildren. She also enjoyed Lawrence Welk and her Spiritual Music. Sophie was a life member of the Franco-American War Veterans Ladies Auxiliary.
She is survived by her sons, Carl Anderson and his wife Dawn of Washington and Richard Anderson and his wife Jeanne of Cumberland, and her daughter Shirley Lemaire and her husband Sonny of Falmouth, MA, five grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren. She was the mother of the late Gladys I. Minot.
Visitation will be held on Friday, November 25th, from 9:00-10:00 in the Fournier and Fournier Funeral Home, 463 South Main Street, Woonsocket. A Mass of Christian Burial and burial will be private.
