Obituary

Titus Weidman Trupe of Canton formally of Lancaster, PA died November 20, 2011. Until he retired in 2003, Titus was employed twenty five years by the Wilmac Corporation where he served as executive director of Lancashire Terrace Retirement Village. Prior to that he held the position of manager of nursing home operations. He had also worked for twenty five years for the Westinghouse Corporation of Horseheads, NY, holding various positions including manager of manufacturing in the electronic tube division.
Born in Akron, PA in 1922, he was the son of the late Carrie and Elton Earl Trupe. He was graduated from Ephrata High School and in 1948 from Muhlenberg College. A U.S. Army veteran of World War II, he served in Europe where he received a battle star for performance in the Battle of the Bulge.
A 32nd degree Mason of Ephrata Lodge, Titus had been affiliated with Lancaster Lodge of Perfection. He officiated as board of the Lancaster Kiwanis Club of which he was a member for twenty five years.
In his youth he was a member of the Akron Lutheran Church and later the Presbyterian Church where his activities included youth director and deacon. Titus served as a member of the Board of Education in Horseheads, NY. Other interests included golf and bridge.

Surviving are his wife Mary Ann, and four daughters: Mandy Bass of Newton, MA; Alison J. Kiss of Wilmington, DE; Amy S. Trupe-Lou of Lexington, MA; Sara D. Cloherty of Canton, MA; ten grandchildren; he was pre-deceased by two sisters Thelma Bieber and Tirzah Ravegum and a brother Tyler Trupe.
Relatives and friends respectfully invited to attend visiting hours at the Dockray & Thomas Funeral Home, 455 Washington St. Canton , Tuesday 6-8pm. A memorial service will be held at the Zion Lutheran Church 435 Main St. Akron, PA on Saturday, Dec. 3rd at 10:00 am. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in his memory to the Canton Public Library 900 Washington St. Canton, MA 02021
