Obituary

Mr. Donald E. "Skip" Robinson Sr., age 80, a life-long resident of Wilmington passed away peacefully at the Wilmington Health Care Center on November 18th following a long period of declining health. He was the beloved husband of the late Irene E. (Hicks). He was the beloved son of the late Clara Robinson.

“Skip” as he was affectionately known to his family and friends was a retired heavy machine operator in the construction industry. In his retirement he enjoyed being at home cooking and loved watching television. Prior to his wife's death, together they enjoyed going out to play bingo. Skip also served in the United States Air Force and was a Life Member of the Tewksbury-Wilmington Elks.

In addition to his late wife, He is predeceased by his son, the late Donald Robinson Jr., sister Barbara Woodvine, brothers Al, Howard, Norman, Ralph and Robert Parker. He is survived by his daughter, Donna Stanley and her husband Bud of Sarasota, FL, sons, Michael Robinson and his wife Susan of East Kingston, NH and David Robinson and his wife Michelle of Belmont, NH. He is also survived by his grandchildren, Michael Stanley, Eric Robinson, Michelle Wright, Matthew Robinson and great grandchildren; Makenzie Robinson, Connor and Jared Wright. He is further survived by his brothers, Peter Parker of Idaho, David Parker of New York and John Parker of Billerica.

A funeral service will be conducted in the Dello Russo Funeral Home, 374 Main St., Wilmington, Wednesday, November 23rd, at 10 a.m. Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend. Visiting hours at the Dello Russo Funeral home will be held on Tuesday; from 4 thru 8 p.m. Services will conclude with burial at Wildwood Cemetery, Wilmington. Memorial contributions may be made in Skip's memory to the charity of your choice.
