Peabody: Rita C. (Michaud) Parker, age 86, died Friday evening, at Peabody Glen Healthcare following a brief illness. She was the wife of the late Howard S. Parker with whom she had shared 56 years of marriage.
Born and raised in Salem, she was the daughter of the late Alfred and Jeanne (Masse) Michaud. She was a graduate of St. Joseph Elementary and High Schools both of Berwick, Maine. Shortly after her marriage to Howard in 1944 the couple settled in Danvers. Together they were managers for Flair Cleaners in North Beverly. Rita’s greatest loves in her life were her family and traveling. She was a member of St. Mary of the Annunciation Parish in Danvers for many years.
She is survived by a son, Brian H. Parker and his wife Marcia of Newmarket, NH, a daughter, Nancy B. Mysliwy and her husband Peter of Peabody, 5 grandchildren, Jameson & Candace Parker, Jennifer Keezer, Scott and Ashley Mysliwy. 5 great-grandchildren, Ariah, Randy & Trey Parker, Gianna and Briley Keezer. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews, including her very special nephew, Mark Petit.
Relatives and friends are invited to her funeral mass on Tuesday, November 22, 2011 at 10:00 A.M. in St. Mary of the Annunciation Church, 26 Conant St., Danvers. Burial will follow in Greenlawn Cemetery, Salem. There will be no visiting hours. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
