A. Mae Thibault, 95

Dateline: Mansfield, MA

A. Mae (Westhaver) Thibault, 95, a lifelong resident of Mansfield, passed away in the comfort of her home, surrounded by her loving family on Saturday November 19, 2011. She was the beloved wife of the late Robert G. Thibault, to whom she was wed for 34 years at the time of his death in 1968.
Born in Mansfield, MA in 1916, she was a daughter of the late David E. and Ara B. (McLean) Westhaver.
Mae grew up in Mansfield, was educated in Mansfield public schools, and was a 1934 graduate of Mansfield High School.
A dedicated homemaker to her dear family, Mrs. Thibault had been employed as a data processor at the Foxboro Co. for over 25 years prior to retiring, and was a member of the company’s 25 year Club. She had also worked as a waitress at the former Rose Garden in Mansfield and at the former Lord Fox in Foxboro.
An active member of the Mansfield United Methodist Church, Mae was also a member and past worthy matron of the Order of Eastern Star.
Her hobbies included knitting, sewing, playing cards, and reading. She enjoyed spending time with and entertaining her large loving family.
She was the devoted mother of Paul T. “Pete” Thibault and his wife Deborah of Mansfield, Gail M. Cauger and her husband Robert of North Attleboro, Gwen J. Wohlrab of Lynden, Washington, David W. Thibault and his wife Patricia of Barnstable, Patricia A. Corbett and her husband Lee of Davenport, Florida, James R. Thibault and his wife Shirley of Mansfield, Nancy J. Thibault of Lynden, Washington and the late Robert D. Thibault and Gene A. Thibault. The dear sister of the late Laura Johnson, Dorothy Snell, Edmund Westhaver and Beverly Phillips, Mrs. Thibault is also survived by her cherished 13 grandchildren, 24 great grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews, her sister in law Evelyn Westhaver Allen of Mansfield, and was the mother in law of the late Henry Wohlrab.
Funeral services, to which relatives and friends are cordially invited to attend, will be held on Wednesday November 23rd at 11:00 A,M, at the Sherman & Jackson Funeral Home, 55 North Main St., Mansfield. Burial will follow in the Spring Brook Cemetery, Mansfield.
Visiting hours will be held on Tuesday November 22nd from 4-7 P.M. at the Sherman & Jackson Funeral Home.
In lieu of flowers, Mae’s family has requested that donations in her memory be made to Old Colony Hospice, 1 Credit Union Way, Randolph, MA 02368 or to the charity of ones choice.
