Anthony M. Foddai, age 88 of Bogota, formerly of Jersey City, died on Saturday, November 19, 2011.
Beloved husband of the late Barbara (2006). Devoted father of Vincent and Joann, Milena and Joseph, Mary and the late John (1988), Paul and Manona, Catherine, Anna and Michael. Loving grandfather of Dennis, Barbara, Michael, John, Corinna, Anthony, Joann, Regina and Michael. Cherished great grandfather of Daniela, Michael, Megan, Grace, John, Elise, Lauren, Olivia and Max. Born in Rome, Italy, Anthony immigrated to the United States with his Family In 1956. In 1980 Anthony was made a Papal Knight by Pope John Paul II and received his doctorate in Canon Law from Pontifical Gregorian University. He was the Executive Director of Catholic Relief Services of NY and was an avid NY Yankees fan. Friends and family will be received on Tuesday from 2-4 and 7-9PM at Volk Leber Funeral Home, 789 Teaneck Road, Teaneck. A funeral Mass will be celebrated 9:30 AM on Wednesday at St, Joseph’s RC Church, Bogota. Interment to follow at George Washington Memorial Park, Paramus. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to St, Joseph’s RC Church 115 E. Fort Lee Road, Bogota, NJ 07603 or St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105, in Anthony’s name would be appreciated
