William L. Kelly, 81, of Hampstead, NH died Fri., Nov. 18th at his home.
Bill was born and educated in Ohio and graduated from Washington High School and he received his Bachelor’s Degree from Ohio Wesleyan University. He retired from Raytheon where he was Director of Export, Licensing and Control.
Bill was a member of ODK, the National Leadership Honor Society and other associations in college. He was a member of the American Management Assoc., the International City Management Assoc., the NH Municipal Assoc. and the Aerospace Industries Assoc. He was a past President and board member of Salemhaven and he was previously a member of the Planning Board and Budget Committee of both Salem and Hampstead. He served as Salem’s Town Manager from 1971 – 1978. He previously worked in public service for the City of Painesville, OH. He was on the Board of Trustees for the First Congregational Church in both Salem and Hampstead. Bill’s passions were his family, public service and his church.
He was a US Navy veteran, srving during the Korean War.
