Obituary

WESTON: Edith A. (Jarvis) Randle, 75, died peacefully in the comfort of her family on Wednesday, November 16, 2011 at the Spaulding Rehabilitation Hospital in Cambridge following an illness of several months.

She was born in Tenafly, New Jersey on August 11, 1936 the daughter of the late Nelson L. Jarvis and Winifred (Wilson) Jarvis.

Edith is survived by her beloved husband of 52 years, Herbert H. Randle of Weston. She was the devoted mother of Allison L. Randle of Northborough and Kelley A. Wilson of Eugene, OR. Cherished grandmother of Angela L. Wilson of Eugene, OR. Also survived by her brother
Richard Jarvis of Springfield, VT and her sister-in-law Mrs. Bette Bates of Christiania, PA as well as many cousins, nieces and nephews.

Edith has been a resident of Weston for the past 47 years and previously resided in Brighton and Springfield, VT. She spent her formative years in Tenafly, NJ and Springfield, VT and graduated from Springfield High School. She received her formal education as an artist at the School of the Museum of Fine Arts in Boston for five
years. She was an accomplished freelance artist and photographer and specialized in pet portraits. She was a longtime member and past president of the Weston Arts and Crafts. Edith spent countless hours as a volunteer at the Carroll Center for the Blind in Newton in the outdoor enrichment program and was an active member of the First Baptist Church of Weston.

A Memorial Service celebrating Edith’s life will be held on Saturday, December 3, 2011 at 11 o’clock at the First Baptist Church of Weston, 657 Boston Post Road, Weston.

Private family interment will be held at the Randle family lot in Linwood Cemetery in Weston.

In lieu of flowers her family suggests that memorial gifts in her memory may be sent to The First Baptist Church of Weston or The Carroll Center for the Blind, 770 Centre St, Newton, MA 02458.
