Bruce Lane Richardson, 49, of Tifton died Friday, November 18, 2011, at Tift Regional Medical Center. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, November 21, 2011, in the Chapel of Bowen-Donaldson Home for Funerals. Rev. Earl Perry will officiate with burial to follow in Oak Ridge Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Monday, November 21, 2011, from 12:00 to 2:00 p.m. at Bowen-Donaldson Home for Funerals.
Mr. Richardson was born on November 29, 1961 in Tift County and was the son of Irwin Henry Richardson, Jr. and Virginia Johnson Richardson, both deceased. He was also preceded in death by two brothers, Victor Herman Richardson and Irwin Henry “Hank” Richardson, III. He was a salesman for Harley-Davidson and of the Baptist faith. He enjoyed fishing, racing and was a collector of coins. He loved his dog, Buddy.
Mr. Richardson is survived by one son, Steven Ganey of Ty Ty; two nieces, Ashley Richardson and Haley Richardson; two great-nieces, Alexandra McCook and Josce McCook; and one great-nephew, Henry Richardson.
