In Raynham, November 16, 2011 James P. husband of Karen (Noell) O’Brien died suddenly in home at the age of 65. Born and educated in South Boston, James was the son of the late John and Catherine (Bresnahan) O’Brien. James served in the US Coast Guard from 1964-1970. He worked in retail for Herman’s Sporting Goods and MVP Sports. James enjoyed kite flying the outdoors and especially his spending time with his family. He was the father of Kevin O’Brien of South Boston, Jimmie O’Brien of Quincy, Michelle Mulley of Dorchester, Christine Bravi of Hebron, CT, Janice Vaughan of San Angelo, TX and Sean O’Brien of Maine. Grandfather of Five. Calling hours will be held at the O’Keefe-Wade Funeral Home, 70 Washington Street in Taunton Sunday, November 20th from 4-7 PM followed by a service at the funeral home at 7 PM. Interment will be held at the Bourne National Cemetery at a day and time to be announced.
