Betty Trowell, 64, Douglas, GA passed away on Monday, November 15, 2011 at Memorial Hospital in Jacksonville, FL following an extended illness. Mrs. Trowell was born on January 2, 1947 in Omaha, NE. Mrs. Trowell was preceded in death by her mother: Frances Sargent. She was retired from SunTrust Bank where she was employed as a teller and she was a member of Reedy Branch Baptist Church.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, November 19, 2011 at Reedy Branch Baptist Church with interment following in the Reedy Branch Church Cemetery.
Survivors include: daughter: Sheila Morris, Broxton, GA; sisters: Bernice (J. W.) Jowers, Douglas, GA, Juanice (Larry) Harper, Douglas, GA and Loretta (Larry) Parker, Ambrose, GA; 3 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren.
The family will receive friends on Friday, November 18, 2011 at Sims Funeral Home from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Sims Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
