Erickson, Roy A. Sr. of Dedham, age 82, died Nov 14, 2011 at Briarwood Health Care in Needham. Born June 10, 1929 in Boston. Son of the late Eric L and Eola (Olson) Erickson, beloved husband of Ann C “Nancy Buhlman” for 61yrs. Wonderful Dad of Marie E. and Martin Briggs of Foxboro, Ellen A. and Dennis Lovett of Westwood, Nancy C. Kelley and the late Robert Kelley Sr. of Readville, Carol R. Erickson of Dedham, Paul A. and Vicki Erickson of Westwood, Roy A. Erickson Jr. of Westwood, and Amy C. Erickson and Lindsay Burnap of Wolfeboro, NH. Loving Grandfather of 12 grandchildren, Great grandfather of 9. Brother of Joan and Robert Erickson of Thorndike, ME and the late Eric and Earl Erickson. Also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.
He loved being a part-time Cab Driver for Eagle Cab Hyde Park for 20yrs. He was a retired Electrical Technician for AmTote International for 35yrs. Honorary Union Member for IBEW Local 1501 for over 50 yrs. He was happiest when surrounded by family and friends. He would lend a helping hand at the drop of a hat.
