Sherry Lynn Joiner, 53, Douglas, GA passed away at Midwest Harris Hospital in Sylva, NC on Sunday, November 13, 2011. Mrs. Joiner was born on November 6, 1958 to Marshall Edward and Harriett Gaskins Paulk. She worked as a seamstress in a garment factory and was a member of Westwood Baptist Church.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, November 16, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. in the Westwood Baptist Church with interment following in the Westwood Church Cemetery.
Survivors include: husband: Leon Joiner, Douglas, GA; daughters: Christine Joiner, Parrott, GA; Pauline (Todd) Stewart, Rachel (Mike) Jaskulski, Barbara Jean (Buck) Cash all Ellaville, GA; son: Ryan Leon Joiner, Douglas, GA; sister: Ginger Paulk, Mora, GA; brothers: Marshall Paulk, Jr, South Carolina, Michael Paulk, Willacoochee, GA; Forest Paulk, Gainesville, GA; Victor Paulk, Valdosta, GA; Brian Paulk, Dallas, TX; 13 grandchildren; 2 great grandchildren; several nieces & nephews; several great nieces & nephews.
The family will receive friends on Tuesday, November 15, 2011 from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at Sims Funeral Home. Sims Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
