James F. Nash, 72, of Newton, who was a retired from the Gas Turbine Lab at MIT in Cambridge, died at his home on Monday March 8, 2004.Born in Boston he graduated from St. Columbkille High School in Brighton. He served with the U.S. Navy during the Korean War on the destroyer USS Warrington and was a member of Nonantum A.L. Post 440 in Newton. He had worked for MIT for over 20 years. He is survived by his wife of 44 years Theresa (O’Sullivan) Nash, his 8 children Eileen Nash of Newton, Joseph Nash of Pembroke, Terance Nash of Franklin, John Nash of Waltham, Mary Nash Roy of Maynard, Mitch Nash of West Roxbury, Brian Nash of Quincy, and Jamie Nash of West Roxbury. He is also survived by his grandchildren John, Richard, Andrew, Kearney, Colin and Owen Nash, his brother and sister Robert Nash of Pembroke and Mary Barnes of Dedham and several nieces and nephews.Relatives and friends will gather at the Eaton & Mackay Funeral Home 465 Centre St. Newton Corner on Fri March 12 at 9:30 AM and proceed to a Mass of Christian Burial in Our Lady Help of Christians Church at 10:30 AM . Interment will take place at the Mass National Cemetery in Bourne at 1:30 PM . Visiting hours will be in the funeral home on Thurs from 4-8 PM.
