BEVERLY: Patrick J. Fanning, V, 58, died peacefully on Tuesday, November 8, 2011 at his home.
Born in Salem on St. Patrick’s Day, March 17, 1953, he was the son of the late Patrick J. Fanning, IV and Blanche P. (Fried) Fanning. He was a graduate of Beverly High School and Endicott College.
Patrick was employed as a licensed practical nurse at Beverly Hospital and several area nursing homes for many years. An avid reader, he loved gardening, astrology and music, especially the “Blues.”
He is survived by three sons, Patrick J. Fanning, VI of Orlando, Florida, Brendan D. Fanning and Connor J. Fanning and his companion, Brook Mitchell all of Beverly and a granddaughter, Ellie Marie Fanning of Beverly. He was also predeceased by two sisters, Tracey and Kathy Fanning.
A celebration of his life will be held on Saturday, November 19th at the family home at 8 Morgan Road, Beverly from 1 – 4 p.m. Relatives and friends are cordially invited to attend. Expressions of sympathy may be made in his memory to the Beverly Bootstraps, 371 Cabot St., Beverly, MA 01915. Arrangements are under the direction of the Grondin Funeral Home, 376 Cabot St., Beverly.
