Barbara A. Jones, 82

Dateline: Mansfield, MA

Barbara A. (Boynton) Jones, 82, a lifelong resident of Mansfield, passed away peacefully on Sunday November 13, 2011 at the Epoch Senior Healthcare in Norton. She was the beloved wife of the late Stanley D. Jones, Sr. and the late Stewart V. Webb.
Born in Mansfield, MA on March 26, 1929, she was a daughter of the late Charles E., Sr. and Thelma O. (Knowles) Boynton.
Educated in Mansfield public schools, Barbara was a retired Quality Control Inspector having worked for 20 years at the former Englehard Co. in Plainville. When younger she had also been employed at the former Mansfield Bleachery in Mansfield.
A communicant of St. Mary’s Church in Mansfield, Barbara enjoyed crocheting and researching her families genealogy.
Her family was the focal point of her life. She was a caring person who made many sacrifices for others and was the link that kept her large family involved in current events and activities.
She was the devoted mother of Sharon A. Samuelson and her husband Tom of Manomet and Stanley D. Jones, Jr. of Mansfield. The sister of Charles Boynton, Jr. of Alabama, Irving Boynton of Florida, Josephine Gougeon of Vermont, Marie West of South Yarmouth, Helen Heffernan of Attleboro, Alice Proulx of Norton and the late Lillian Demers, Walter Boynton, Mildred Corey, Esther Boynton, Doris Lesperance, Daniel Boynton and Benjamin Boynton, she was the cherished grandmother of Thomas J. Samuelson, Sherer A. Lupica, Jacqueline I. Jones and the late Robert W. Samuelson, Mrs. Jones is also survived by her adoring great grandsons Nathaniel Samuelson and Alex Lupica, as well as many nieces and nephews.
Prayer services, to which relatives and friends are cordially invited to attend, will be held on Thursday November 17th at 10:30 A.M. at the Sherman & Jackson Funeral Home, 55 North Main St., Mansfield. Private burial will be at a later date in the Spring Brook Cemetery, Mansfield.
Visitation will be held prior to the services beginning at 9:00 A.M. on Thursday morning at the Sherman & Jackson Funeral Home.
In lieu of flowers, Barbara’s family has requested that donations in her memory be made to the Patients Activity Fund at Epoch Senior Healthcare, 184 Mansfield Ave., Norton, MA 02766
