Mary L. (O'Donnell) O'Halloran, a lifelong resident of Charlestown, died on Saturday, November 12, 2011 at Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston following a brief illness. She was 77 years old.
Mary was born in Boston and grew up in Charlestown where she attended St. Mary's Church Parochial School and then graduated from Charlestown High School. Mary worked several years at Schrafft's Candy Company in Charlestown and then worked for the elderly at The Kit Clark Center. Mary also worked several years as a lunch mother at several Charlestown grammer schools.
Mary is the beloved wife of the late Patrick F. O'Halloran. She is the devoted mother of Maryann Pulliam of Billerica, Patty Silvestro-Williams and her husband Frank of Tewksbury, Gracie Saccardo of Charlestown and Martin J. O'Halloran of Everett. She is the loving grandmother of 7 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren. She is the beloved sister of Jack O'Donnell and his wife Dottie, Dorothy Eagan and her husband Dan, James O'Donnell, Evelyn Collier and her husband Bob, Joseph O'Donnell, Kay Heeter and her husband Tom and the late Ann Yandle and her late husband John the late Grace Stella and her surviving husband Bill. She is also the loving aunt of many nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend Mary's Funeral on Wednesday, November 16, 2011 at 9 a.m. from The Carr Funeral Home, 220 Bunker Hill St. Charlestown followed by her Funeral Mass in St. Francis De Sales Church, 313 Bunker Hill St. Charlestown at 10 a.m. Interment at Woodlawn Cemetery in Everett. Visiting hours in the funeral home on Tuesday, November 15, 2011 from 4 to 8 p.m.
