Rosemary Ann Whitehead, 75, Douglas, GA passed away on Friday, November 11, 2011 at her residence following an extended illness. Mrs. Whitehead was born in Pittston, PA on October 10, 1936 to Mathew Paul and Mary Rolo Lepresto. She was retired from the Coffee County Sheriff’s Office where she worked as a baliff ; she was a member of the First United Methodist Church.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, November 14, 2011 in the Chapel of Sims Funeral Home at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Craig Hutto officiating. Interment will follow in the Douglas City Cemetery.
Survivors include: son: Robert (Song) Soska, Korea; stepsons: Mike Whitehead, West VA, Pat Whitehead, Tifton, GA; Kenneth (Lisa) Whitehead, Jr., Douglas, GA; grandchildren: Amber Whitehead, Ryan Whitehead, Rosalinda Soska, Mathew Soska, John Soska; several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends on Sunday, November 13, 2011 from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at Sims Funeral Home. Sims Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
