Rose (Fulginiti) White, age 83, of Whitman, MA, passed away on Tuesday, November 8, 2011, at the Colony House Nursing Center in Abington, MA.
Rose was preceded in death by her parents, Nicholas and Marie Fulginiti of Whitman and her loving husband of 53 years, Irvin F. White. Rose is survived by two sisters, Emily Gardner of Weslaco, TX and Joyce Barnard of Whitman; her four children; Michael White, and wife, Debra, of Southlake, TX, Donna Wagner, and husband Bob, of Whitman, Steven White, and wife Lisa, of Bristol, NH, and Paul White of Driftwood, TX. Rose was blessed with five grandchildren: Eric Wagner, and wife, Trish, of Howell, NJ, Stephanie McCusker, and husband Mike, of Whitman, Kelsi White of Fort Worth, TX, Nicholas White and Anthony White, both of Bristol, NH.
A life-long resident of Whitman, Rose graduated from Whitman High School and from the Chandler School in Boston. She enjoyed raising her children in the proximity of both the White and Fulginiti extended families. When Rose’s children reached their later school years, she worked as a Cafeteria and A/V aide in the Whitman Public Schools. After retirement, Rose took great pleasure visiting with her children and grandchildren and joined in on many senior trips sponsored by the Whitman Senior Center.
A visitation for Rose’s family and friends will be held on Monday November 14 from 10 AM to 12 Noon at the Blanchard Funeral Chapel, 666 Plymouth Street, Whitman. A funeral service will immediately follow at 12 Noon in the Chapel with internment at St. James Cemetery in Whitman.
The family has requested that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to the Old Colony Elder Services, 144 Main Street, Brockton, MA 02301. This organization provided Rose and Irvin with valuable services and comfort in their senior years.
