Obituary

Nurmenniemi, Aulis E. of Quincy, died on November 8, 2011, surrounded by the family he cherished. The beloved husband of 58 years to Soivi( Tervakoski) Nurmenniemi of Quincy. Loving father of Reino Nurmenniemi and his wife Lee Ann of Quincy, Ritva Nurmenniemi of Weymouth, Liisa Locurto and her husband Salvatore of Sutton and Anita Kelly and her husband Michael of Franklin. Brother of Inkeri Ollikainen of Finland. Cherished Papa of Elsa Marie and her husband William, Annalee and her husband Tate, Katrina, Samantha, James, Marissa, Mikayla, Nicholas, Lauren and Brendan. Great Grandpa of Nathan and Olivia.

Aulis was born in Finland and has lived in Quincy since 1961. A master mason for 41 years as well as a talented carpenter and proud union member of Local #33. He enjoyed following politics and loved the ocean. Although, he loved to work, the essence of his life was his family. He was very proud of his children and grandchildren. His family was the foundation of all that was important to him. He will be sadly missed by all of them, but they are grateful for all the blessings he brought into their lives.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the visiting hours on Friday 3-7 PM in the Keohane Funeral Home, 785 Hancock St., QUINCY.

Funeral service will be celebrated on Saturday at 10 AM in Wollaston Congregational Church, 48 Winthrop Ave, Quincy.

Burial in Blue Hill Cemetery, Braintree.
