In Taunton, November 9, 2011 age 91 passed away in Taunton Nursing Home following a lengthy period of failing health. Dorothy was born in Taunton to her late parents Frank & Emily (Schmalz) Conaty. She has resided her entire life in Taunton and Raynham. Dorothy was educated in Taunton Schools , a graduate of Taunton High School. She was employed as an LPN at Taunton State Hospital and other local nursing homes. Dorothy was active in volunteering at several local organizations and the Thrift Shop on Bay St. She enjoyed bowling, crocheting, knitting and her time with family. Dorothy is survived by her two sons David Richardson & his wife Carolyn of Raynham and Daniel Richardson of PA. She also leaves her seven grandchildren and nine great grandchildren. Dorothy was preceded in death by her brother Edward Conaty. A funeral home service will be held at the O’Keefe-Wade Funeral Home, 70 Washington St., Taunton, Ma 02780 on Saturday, Nov. 12th at 10:30am. Relatives and friends are invited to visiting hours prior to the service from 9:30-10:30am. Burial will be in Mayflower Hill Cemetery in Taunton.
