Obituary

Roland A. Tardie Sr. 81, of Burrillville, passed away peacefully Tuesday surrounded by his loving family. He was the husband of Lucille (Leduc) Tardie.
Though he was a Burrillville resident most of his life, he was born in Woonsocket, a son of the late Joseph and Eva (Rondeau) Tardie.
He was employed by Service Contracting for many years before retiring in 1991. He was also an employee of Whiten Machine Works for many years.
Mr. Tardie served in the U.S. National Guard and was a U.S. Navy veteran.

Besides his loving wife Lucille, he is survived by his children; Theresa Stelmach of Burrillville, Roland Tardie Jr. of Woonsocket, and Michelle Fortune also of Burrillville, and three grandchildren and three great grandchildren. He is also survived by a sister, Beatrice Gariepy, and was the brother of the late Albert Tardie, Doris Vanasse, and Arlene Gosselin.
His funeral with a Mass of Christian Burial will be held Saturday at 11:00AM in St. Theresa's Church, Nasonville. The family will receive guests at 10:30AM in church prior to the mass. Burial will follow in St. Theresa's Cemetery.
