Anthony George Munt, beloved husband, father, grandfather and friend of 15 Apple Blossom Rd. Londonderry passed away peacefully in his sleep in the early morning hours of Sunday, March 7, 2004.
Born May 12, 1938 in Caterham, Surrey, England immigrated to the United States in 1968 with his wife and two sons. At 65 years of age Anthony spent the past two and a half decades working for the British corporation Serck Aviation, a subsidiary of Dunlop Aerospace where he worked as the North American Sales Manager for two fluid heat transfer units. A Mechanical Engineer by training he spent many days working with General electric, Pratt and Whitney and Rolls Royce jet propulsion divisions.
Anthony is survived by his wife of 12 years, Jean (Hancock) Munt of Londonderry and his former wife of 30 years, Carol, of Manchester, NH. Three sons, Andrew Munt and his wife Pamela of Topsham, ME, Stephen Munt and his wife Karen of Manchester, NH, and Michael Munt and his wife Jennifer of Manchester, NH, three daughters, Rhonda Kelley and her husband John of Manchester, Ms. Christine Hupps of Londonderry, Denise Adams and her husband Jason of Salem, also numerous grandchildren, one great granddaughter, Abby Nicole Durgin of Hawaii, his father Henry, 91, of Farnham, Common, Slough England, Brother and Sister-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Derek Munt of Farnham Royal, Slough England.
Anthony enjoyed spending time in his garden cultivating and nurturing the landscape at his home. But his greatest joy was the time he spent with his family, he was never at a loss for love for any of his children or grand children. To our husband, father, grandfather and friend - you will truly be missed – all our love – your loving family.
Friends may call on Tuesday March 9th from 1 - 3pm in the Peabody Funeral Homes and Crematorium, 290 Mammoth Rd., Londonderry. Following cremation, burial will be at a later date in Londonderry.
