Campbell and her husband Shawn; David S. and his wife Traci and Brian E. Milchunes. Great grandfather of Jillian M. and Nicole E. Brewer and Megan June Campbell.
Funeral from the J. Frank Conley Funeral Home, 138 Belmont Street (Rte 123) Brockton, Thursday at 8am. Funeral Mass in St. Edith Stein Church, Brockton at 9am. Burial in Pine Hill Cemetery, W. Bridgewater. Visitation Thursday 8-8:30am. In lieu of flowers donations in his name may be made to the Boston Fire Department Relief Fund, 115 S. Hampton St., Boston, MA 02118.
Obituary Information
Mr. Milchunes died Sunday at the Caritas Good Samaritan Medical Center, Brockton, after a brief illness. He was born in Fitchburg, son of the late Edwin and Etta (Green) Milchunes. He was raised in Quincy and was a graduate of the Quincy school system, a veteran of WWII he served in the US Marine Corps in the Pacific Theater. He joined the Boston Fire Department in 1947, and retired as a Captain in 1981. He was a member of the Boston Firefighters local 718, Society of St. Florian, Boston Firemans Relief Fund and Mutual Relief Fund, and a member of the Knights of Columbus Council 62.
He is survived by two sons, Edward D. Milchunes of Brockton, and Kevin R. Milchunes of Pembroke, 4 grandchildren Dawn Brewer and her husband William of Brockton, Karen A. Campbell and her husband Shawn of Pembroke, David S. and his wife Traci of Pembroke and Brian E. Milchunes of Brockton, three great grandchildren Jillian M. and Nicole E. Brewer and Megan June Campbell, and many nieces and nephews.
