Obituary

Glenn Alvin Stowell passed away in his sleep on the morning of November 3, 2011, at his home in Santa Clara, CA, at the age of 83.

Born and raised in Kingston, his mother, Irene passed away when he was 16. Glenn was raised by the Weston family and they acted as his guardians until he joined the Navy. Upon finishing his service in the Navy, Glenn went to school to obtain his Mechanical Engineering degree at LeTourneau University in Longview, Texas.

In 1976, he moved his family from Massachusetts to California to follow his employer of over 40 years, Haimson Research.

Glenn was a member of the Santa Clara First Baptist Church and an active volunteer in the Boy Scouts for 40 plus years. Glenn had a passion for trains and tractors that he maintained throughout his life. His humor, generosity and kindness will be missed by his family and friends.

Glenn was predeceased by his wife of 52 years, Rose Stowell and son, Philip Stowell. Glenn is survived by his four children: David, Paul, Maureen and Mark and their families, including seven grandchildren.

Graveside Services will be held at the Evergreen Cemetery, 21 Green Street, Kingston, on Saturday, November 12 at 11:30 AM.
