
In Taunton, November 6, 2011 Helena M. Parsons, age 88 passed away at home unexpectedly. Helena was the wife of the late Gordon Parsons for 53 years. Helena was born in Boston to her late parents William & Louise (Chase) Brown. She was educated in Boston schools. Helena has resided in Taunton since the 1970’s and was formerly of Brockton and Easton. She was employed at the former Towle Manufacturing in Taunton. Helena was a volunteer at Morton Hospital where she recieved the Volunteer of the Year Award in 2008. Helena was an avid reader, she enjoyed line dancing and above all loved her time with family and friends. She was a loving and devoted mother to her daughter Dorothy Churchill of Taunton and her son George Parsons & his wife Lorraine of Carver. Her siblings; William Brown of Biddeford, Me., Thomas Brown of Kingston and Carol Canario of Laconia, NH. Helena also leaves her six grandchildren and two great grandchildren. She also leaves many nieces and nephews and close friends. A funeral home service will be held at the O’Keefe-Wade Funeral Home, 70 Washington St., Taunton, Ma 02780 on Friday at 9am. Burial will be at the Bourne National Cemetery at 11am. Relatives and friends are invited to visiting hours on Thurs from 4-7pm.
