Beatrice E. (Fontaine) Vasconcellos, 64, of Westport died Sunday, November 6, 2011 at Rhode Island Hospital. She was the wife of Paul P. Vasconcellos, Sr.
Born in Fall River, daughter of the late Albert J. and Rita C. (Thibault) Fontaine, Sr., Beatrice had resided in Westport for most of her life. She volunteered numerous hours of her time to the Bristol County Veterans Association of Fall River and was a member of the Tiverton Mountain Men Black Powder Shooters and Re-enactors. Beatrice enjoyed spending time with her family and friends.
Survivors besides her loving husband include a son: Paul P. Vasconcellos, Jr. of Lakeland, FL and his wife Lisa; a daughter: Heather A. Vasconcellos of Westport; 2 brothers: Albert Fontaine, Jr. of Westport and Robert Fontaine of NV; 4 sisters: Lorraine Monroe of Berkley, MA, Annie Dias of Westport, Blanch Aguiar of NH and Elaine Rioux of Westport; a grandson: Joshua J. Vasconcellos and several nieces and nephews.
Calling hours to which family and friends are invited, will be Wednesday November 9, 2011 from 5:00-8:00 P.M. at the Potter Funeral Home. Funeral will be Thursday at 9:00 A.M. at the Potter Funeral Home followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 A.M. at Our Lady of Grace Church, Westport.
Interment Beech Grove Cemetery.
