Elkins, Marie Frye (Kidwell), 76, passed away November 6, 2011 at her home with her family by her side. She was a member of Harvest Church of God and Valley Woman’s Club. Marie retired from JCPS as a lunch room worker.
She is preceded in death by her first husband, Raymond J. Frye, Sr.
Survivors include her husband, Walter Eugene Elkin; children, Gary Frye (Brenda), Raymond Frye (LeaAnn), and Michael Frye (Renee); step children, Jeanie Clemons, Randall Elkins, Judy Ellis, Kathy Martinez, Scott Elkins, Kenny Elkins, and Butch Elkins; grandchildren, Jessica Pitts, Emily Frye, and Alicia Kincaid; great grandchildren, Zoe Pitts, Hailey, Ryan, and Tyler Kincaid; brothers, Bill and Denny Kidwell; and sisters, Ellen Young and Phyllis Atwood.
Funeral service will be noon Wednesday at Owen Funeral Home, 5317 Dixie Highway with burial to follow in Bethany Cemetery. Visitation will be Tuesday 4-8 and Wednesday 11am until the service at noon.
