Roberts, Shirley, of Louisville died at his home on Thursday, November 3rd. He was 87 years old.
He was a retired art print broker and former insurance salesman with the old Commonwealth Life Insurance Co. and Mutual of Omaha.
A U.S. Army Air Corps veteran of WWII, he was a past Master Mason in the Parkland Lodge, a member of Kosair Temple, Order of the Scottish Rite, and a long-time member of Garrs Lane (formerly Parkview) United Methodist Church.
He is preceded in death by his parents, William J. and Louise Roberts, and two brothers; William J. Roberts, Jr, and Vitus "Bobby" Roberts.
He is survived by his wife of 68 years, the formers Ruth N. Waford, and three children; Marion R. Bell (Morton) of Goshen, KY, Dennis M. (Janet) and Timothy J. (Laura) Roberts, both of Louisville, as well as four grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held 12:00 Monday at the Owen Funeral Home 5317 Dixie Hwy. with burial to follow in Cave Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be 2:00 - 8:00 pm Sunday.
