Augustus Page “Gus” Johnson Jr., of New London, passed away after a brief illness on Saturday.
Gus was born in Conway, SC on August 22, 1941 to the late Augustus Johnson and Sarah Chestnut Johnson.
His hobbies included among other things, golf, games and music.
He is survived by his loving companion, Karin Gries, a sister Bettye beard of Mystic, a brother Charles Johnson of CA, and a host of nieces and nephews.
The family will greet relatives and friends at The Dinoto Funeral Home, 17 Pearl Street, Historic downtown Mystic on Wednesday from 10-11am. A Service will follow at 11am. Burial in Elm Grove Cemetery.
