Obituary

Barbara Jean Skaggs Fahringer, 74 passed away November 4, 2011 at home.

She was the former Barbara Jean Glaser, born December 3,1936 in Louisville, she grew up in the Portland neighborhood and attended St. Cecilia and Presentation schools.

She was a member of Shively Baptist Church,and was an original member of the planning committee for " Joy in the Morning and Women of Grace", women ministries. A retired worker at Phillip Morris U.S.A.,a senior clubs member at St. Lawrence and Incarnation churches,member of Red Hat Society chapter "Dazzling Diva's",Ladies of Riverbelles at River Forest.

She was preceded in death by her parents Myrtle and Henry Thorpe, Brother Gordon "Jackie" Glaser,step-son Stephen Neil Fox.

Survived by her husband Stephen Lee Fahringer, Daughters Debbie Patton (Tim), and Karen Fox,son Warner "Skip" Skaggs (Debi). Sisters Sharon Peck (Paul) and Shirley Long ( Richard).
Grandson Paul Skaggs (Emily), two Great Grandchildren Alexander and Samantha Skaggs, and her many loving and caring friends who supported her.

Funeral service Tuesday 1 P.M. at Owen Funeral Home 5317 Dixie Highway with cremation to follow.

Visitation will be Monday 2 P.M. until 8 P.M.
