Obituary

Lillian V. (Richard) Richardson, 104 years, lifelong of Brockton, died November 4, 2011 at Brockton Hospital. She was the wife of the late Daniel G. Richardson. Born in Brockton, a daughter of the late Liboire and Lea (Ledoux) Richard. She was a graduate of Brockton Business College and retired as a secretary from Brockton Hospital. Previously she had worked in the Assessors office at Brockton City Hall. She was an avid bridge player and was a member of over 50 years of “The Bridge Club.” She also enjoyed crocheting and reading. She was a longtime communicant of Sacred Heart Church and was the oldest living member.

She is survived by her daughter Lea A. Merrion of Raynham; 12 grandchildren; many great grandchildren; four great great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews and a sister-in-law Ann Campbell. She was the mother of the late Daniel A. and Robert L. Richardson; sister of the late Alfred and Leo Richard and Bertha Derosier; and mother-in-law of the late James C. Merrion and Constance M. Richardson. Visitation will be held in the Conley Funeral Home, 138 Belmont Street, (Rte 123) Brockton Tuesday 8:30-9:30am. Funeral Mass in Our Lady of Lourdes Church at 10am. Burial in Calvary Cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in Lillian’s name to St. Vincent de Paul Society, c/o St. Ann’s Church, PO Box 247, Raynham, MA 02768.
