Worcester - Ilione A. (Bailey) Tufts, 103, passed away Sunday, October 30, 2011, at UMass Memorial Hospital. Her husband, Wallace Tufts, died in 1993. She leaves her sons and daughters, Richard B. and Douglas W. Tufts and Beverly A. Noel and Harriet F. Capers; 6 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; and 1 great great-grandchild.
Ilione was born in Worcester, daughter of Florence L. (Wood) and Harry H. Bailey. She was a graduate of Commerce High School Class of 1927. She was the bookkeeper for the family business until 2007. Ilione was a loving, kind, and caring woman who always helped others.
Funeral services under the direction of Nordgren Memorial Chapel, 300 Lincoln Street are private. Burial will be in Maplewood Cemetery, W. Upton. Omit flowers; donations may be made to the American Lung Assn/MA 460 Totten Pond Rd Waltham MA 02451.
