Eleanor P. Richardson, 85

Eleanor P. (Reilly) Richardson, 85, of Norton, formerly of Randolph passed away on Wednesday November 2, 2011 at the Epoch Senior Healthcare in Norton. She was the beloved wife of the late Charles V. Richardson, Sr. who died on April 22, 1994.
Born in Dorchester, MA on July 2, 1926, she was a daughter of the late Stephen and Mary (Guilfoyle) Reilly.
She grew up in Randolph and was a graduate of St. Patrick’s High School in Brockton. She had made her home in Norton for the past 30 years and was a communicant of St. Mary’s Church in Norton.
Prior to retiring, Mrs. Richardson was an insurance broker employed in the Randolph and Boston area. Eleanor was an avid bingo player, enjoyed reading, gardening, spending time with her family and had a special place in her heart for animals.
She is survived by her devoted children; Charles V. Richardson, Jr. and his wife Cheryl of Arizona, Sharon A. Richardson-O’Connell and her husband William of Whitman, Mark T. Richardson and his wife Lori of Taunton, Eleanor P. Delorey and her husband Richard of Arkansas, Stephen J. Richardson of Taunton, Martin R. Richardson and his wife Linda of Middleboro. Mary E. Richardson of Norton, Sheila R. DoCouto and her husband Edward of Raynham, Susan J. Giederman of Attleboro, Paula J. Hart and her husband Paul of Norton, Bridget A. Olhson of Lynnfield, Andrew D. Richardson of Florida and William J. Richardson of Rockland. The sister of Mary Dooley of Taunton, Anna Mann of Randolph, Claire Murphy of Marshfield and the late Edmund Reilly, she is also survived by many grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Her funeral, to which relatives and friends are cordially invited to attend, will be held on Monday November 7th at 10:00 from the Norton Memorial Funeral Home, 19 Clapp St.(Off Route 140, Taunton Ave.) Norton followed by a Mass of Christian burial celebrated at 11:00 A.M. in St. Mary’s Church, 1 Power St., Norton. Burial will follow at 1:00 P.M. in the Massachusetts National Cemetery, Bourne.
Visiting hours will be held on Sunday November 6th from 3-6 P.M. at the Norton Memorial Funeral Home.
Due to floral restrictions at the cemetery, Eleanor’s family has requested that donations in her memory be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
