Paul E. Lord, Sr., 73, of Derry, NH died Wednesday November 2, 2011 in the Aurora Healthcare Center, Derry. Mr. Lord was born in Fall River, MA on December 28, 1937, a son of the late Eddie and Lillian (Belmore) Lord. He was a longtime resident of Derry. Paul was a Hostess Cake truck driver for almost 30 years. He had previously worked for Cumberland Farms and also in a local shoe shop. Paul was a communicant and Eucharistic minister at St. Thomas Aquinas Church of Derry, he enjoyed woodworking and carpentry, and enjoyed playing music. Paul also played the guitar, sang with his family and even played at weddings and parties. He especially liked Camping in his Winnebago and trips to Branson, MO.
He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Pauline (Goudreau) Lord of Derry, three sons, Paul Lord, Jr. of Claremont, Robert Lord of Nashua, and Donald Lord, one daughter, Elaine Russell of Derry, twelve grandchildren, three brothers-in-law, Robert Goudreau and his wife Cecile of Florida, Rene Goudreau of Manchester, Eddie Goudreau and his wife Brenda of Milford, NH, and his sister-in-law, Lorraine Dione of Merrimack.
Calling hours were held on Sunday November 6, 2011 from 12 to 4pm, in the Peabody Funeral Homes and Crematorium, 15 Birch St., Derry. A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated on Monday at 11;ooam in St. Thomas Aquinas Church, 26 Crystal Ave., Derry, NH. Burial followed in Holy Cross Cemetery, Londonderry.
