Diane E. Allain, age79, of Riverview, Fl. passed away on Thursday, October 27, 2011. She was born in New Bedford, MA and has been a resident of Riverview since 1995. She was a Eucharistic Minister at St. Stephen’s Catholic Church, an 11 year volunteer at Brandon Regional Hospital and enjoyed cross-stitch, reading, knitting and traveling.
She is survived by her three loving children: daughter Sharon and Terry Smith, son Michel and Tasca Allain and son Dwayne and Susan Allain; her sister Jeanne and Joseph Marshall; 5 grandchildren – Calene Hernandez, Bradley Smith, Heather Bullard, Matthew Allain and Meaghan Allain; three great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. Mrs. Allain was preceded in death by her husband LTC (Ret) E. Donald Allain, brothers Normand and Leonard Collet and sister Louise L’Heureux. She was a daughter of the late George and Lillian Collet.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00am on November 4, 2011 at St. Stephen’s Catholic Church, 5049 Bell Shoals Road, Valrico, FL. She will be buried along side her husband at Florida National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, she requests a prayer or donations be made to the Pulmonary Fibrosis Foundation 811 West Evergreen Avenue, Suite 204 Chicago, IL 60642. “She will truly be missed by everyone who knew and loved her”.
