NEW BEDFORD — Karen Mae Taylor, age 63 years, of New Bedford, died Monday, October 17, 2011, at Southeastern Mass. Health and Rehab. Center.
Daughter of the late John and Mary (Costa) Cordeiro, she is survived by her son, Dana Wade Taylor and his wife, Jennifer of New Bedford; her sister, Kathleen (Kathy) Perry and her husband, Antone (Tony) of Westport; her granddaughter, Kate Rose Taylor; her nephews, Gregory and Keith Perry. Former wife of David Larry Taylor of Tennessee, she leaves her current mate, Al Santos who brightened her life. She was aunt of the late Kurt Wayne Perry.
Owner of her own beauty salon, Karen's Hair Style, she attended Calvary Temple Church of Fall River and also Hope Evangelical Church in North Dartmouth. Before her illness, Karen worked at the Council on Aging.
Her memorial service will take place in the Hope Evangelical Church, 88 Hathaway Road, North Dartmouth on Saturday, November 5th at 2 P.M. Burial is private.
