TAUNTON – Fernanda (DeLima) Oliveira, wife of the late Humberto Oliveira, died at Morton Hospital & Medical Center on Nov. 1, 2011.
She was 86.
Born in St. Michael, Azores, she was the daughter of the late Bento & Maria Clara DeLima.
Mrs. Oliveira came to this country in 1978 from the Azores and was employed by the former F.B. Rogers for many years.
She later worked for the former Rennie’s Curtain Factory, retiring at the age of 62.
A communicant of Annunciation of the Lord Church, Mrs. Oliveira enjoyed spending time with her family.
Survivors include three daughters, Clara Raposo of Ontario, Canada, Maria Fatima Lima and Rosa Maria Viveiros, both of Taunton; fourteen grandchildren; nineteen great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
She was also the mother of the late Jose Oliveira.
Her funeral will be held from the Silva Funeral Home, 80 Broadway, Taunton on Friday, Nov. 4th at 8 a.m. followed by a funeral mass at Annunciation of The Lord Church at 9 a.m.
Burial will be at St. Joseph Cemetery.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend.
Calling Hours will be held at the funeral home on Thursday Nov. 3rd from 5 to 8 p.m.
