Arthur C. Kane, 57

Dateline: North Attleboro, MA

Arthur C. Kane, 57, of North Attleboro, passed away, surrounded by his loving family, on Monday October 31, 2011 at the Sturdy Memorial Hospital in Attleboro. He was the beloved husband of Joyce A. (Fredette) Kane, to whom he was wed on October 28, 2000.
Born in Boston, MA on July 5, 1954, he was a son of the late Arthur R. and Alice L. (Bruno) Kane. He spent his early childhood living in South Boston. His family later moved to Dorchester and he was educated in Boston public school.
For the past 25 years Mr. Kane had been employed by Roche Bros. Supermarkets and most recently was working at the companies Easton location.
Artie cherished the times spent in the presence of his adoring family and especially family trips to Disney World in Florida. He enjoyed collecting DVD’s and watching movies was one of his favorite past times.
Arthur was very knowledgeable on the sport of baseball. He was a diehard Red Sox fan and was also an avid New England Patriots fan. He will always be remembered for the kindness he showed to his pet cats and was adored by his special feline friends “Jinxy” and “Dash”.
In addition to his beloved wife of eleven years, he is survived by his devoted daughter; April L. Hunt of North Attleboro. The brother to one brother and two sisters, he was the dear son in law of Jeanne Fredette of Norton and the late Emile Fredette, and is also survived by several nieces and nephews and several great nieces and nephews.
Visiting hours, to which relatives and friends are cordially invited to attend, will be held on Saturday November 5th from 2-4 P.M. at the Norton Memorial Funeral Home, 19 Clapp St. (Off Route 140, Taunton Ave.) Norton. Burial will be private.
