Obituary

John Patrick Flaherty, 75, of Franklin died October 31 in his home. He was the husband of the late Elizabeth J. (Clark) Flaherty who died last November.
Born in South Boston, December 3, 1935, the son of the late Patrick and Mary Ellen (Gilman) Flaherty, Mr. Flaherty was raised in South Boston and had lived in Franklin for over 46 years.
Mr. Flaherty had been a salesman for the Sears Company for many years.
John was an avid history buff. He served in the Marine Corps during the Korean War attaining the rank of Private First Class. He served in the military police.
He is survived by his sons, John C. Flaherty and his wife Lisa of Wrentham, Kevin M. Flaherty of Bellingham and Matthew J. Flaherty and his wife Lisa of Hoboken, New Jersey.
He is also survived by his grandsons, Jeremy and Mitchel.
His funeral service will be held on Friday, November 4 in the Ginley Funeral Home of Franklin, 131 Main St. in Franklin at Noon.
Burial will be at the Massachusetts National Cemetery in Bourne at 2:30 p.m.
Visitation will be on Friday from 10:00 a.m. until Noon.
