Obituary

Russo, Louis of Quincy, passed away October 30, 2011.

Beloved husband of 70 years to Livia Russo of Quincy. Loving father of Anna Pacino and her husband Philip of Quincy, Louis Russo, Jr. and his wife Denise of CA, and Patty Russo Sheerin and her husband Thomas of Weymouth. Brother of Joseph Russo of Dorchester, Mary Giacobbe of Stoughton, Josephine DaMore of Dennis, and the late Ann Costa, James Russo and Anthony Russo. Cherished grandfather of Lisa Pacino-Leone and Philip Pacino and great grandfather of Christopher Leone, Draco Pacino and Django Pacino. Also survived by many nieces and nephews.

The most important part of Louis’ life was his family. He especially cherished his grandchildren and great grandchildren. He enjoyed an occasional trip to the dog track and was an avid Boston sports fan, with the Red Sox and Patriots being his favorite. He was a United States Army Veteran of WWII, earning both the Bronze Star and Purple Heart. A letter carrier for over 37 years in the Back Bay, Louis retired in 1983. Mr. Russo will be remembered as a wonderful, yet stern and caring man who took pleasure in the holidays.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the visiting hours on Wednesday 4-8 PM in the Keohane Funeral Home, 785 Hancock St., QUINCY.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held in the funeral home at 9:15 AM on Thursday prior to the Funeral Mass in Sacred Heart Church, Quincy at 10 AM.

Burial will be private on Friday at MA National Cemetery.
