Vincent J. Fontana age 76 of Canton passed away suddenly October 29th at the Norwood Hospital. Born in New York City, he was raised in New York and attended New York University. He was a Manager for the IRS in Boston for 39 years before retiring in 1999 and was a the past Treasurer of the Quarter Century Club. He has lived in Canton for the last 39 years where he was a member of the Canton Senior Men’s Club. Beloved husband of Mary M. (Wilson). Father of Michael V. and his wife Lauren of Sutton. Grandfather of Luke Roode of Sutton. Brother of Harry Fontana of NY and Richard Fontana and his wife Mary of CT and the late John and Mario Fontana. Brother in law of Robert Wilson and his wife Katherine of Norton & Hilary Wilson and his wife Mary Ellen of Pembroke. Close friend of Matthew Kramer and his wife Joyce of Deland, FL. Also survived by several nieces and nephews. Visiting hours at the Dockray & Thomas Funeral Home 455 Washington St. Canton Wednesday 2-4 & 7-9. Funeral mass at St. Gerard Majella Church Canton Thursday morning at 10. Interment St. Francis Cemetery, Taunton.
