Marjorie A. (Amery) Nielsen of Stoughton, passed away of Natural Causes on October 24, 2011 at the Kindred - Sachem Skilled Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in East Bridgewater. She was 96 years old and the wife of over 60 years to the late Terkel J. Nielsen formerly of Copenhagen, Denmark who passed away in 1999. Marjorie was born in Stoneham, Massachusetts on November 13, 1914. She was a daughter of the late Persey S. and Mabel B. (Blodgett) Amery.
After several moves within Massachusetts, the Amery family settled in Stoughton, Massachusetts in 1927. Marjorie attended Stoughton Public Schools and graduated from the Stoughton High School in 1932. Marjorie had varied working positions before being employed The Brockton Shoe and Box Company as an Office Assistant. Her last position was that of a Receptionist / Shop Assistant for the former Karl Buschenfeldt & Sons Manufacturing Company in Stoughton, Massachusetts.
Mrs. Nielsen was a very active member within The Order Of The Eastern Star, Stoughton Chapter 168 and the Stoughton Chapter of The Order Of Rainbow Girls.
Marjorie is survived by two daughters, Karen N. Zarrella of East Bridgewater and Karla S. Stenger of Boston, a brother Robert S. Amery , several grandchildren and great – grandchildren and one great – great grandchild.
At her request, all funeral services will be private.
