Obituary

David Faggioli, 94, of Westport died Tuesday, October 25, 2011 at Kindred Transitional Care and Rehabilitation. He was husband of the late Rita (Couturier) Faggioli.

Born in Fall River, son of the late Vingenzo and Fortunata (Gambittista) Fagiole, he had lived in Westport for over 50 years. A veteran for WWII, he served his country in the United States Army. Prior to retirement, he was a carpenter for Carpenters Local 1305, for which he was a lifetime member. Mr. Faggioli was a member of the former Hut Pigeon Club and was an avid dancer and loved to play cribbage.

Survivors include: 3 sons: David N. Faggioli, Michael W. Faggioli and Paul B. Faggioli; a daughter: Gale Gordon; 3 brothers: Vincent Faggioli, Nicholas Faggioli and Domonic Faggioli; 9 grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

He was brother of the late Caesar Fagioli, Rose Cabral, Lucy M. Teves and Marie P. Robbins.

Memorial service to which relatives and friends are invited will be Wednesday, November 2, 2011 at Our Lady of Grace Church, Westport at 10:00 A.M.

Memorial visitation will be from 9 – 10 A.M. prior to the Mass at the Potter Funeral Home.


Burial will be in St. Patrick’s Cemetery, Fall River.
