Koundouros, Mary (nee) Tjinis age 95 of Hackensack formerly of Jersey City died Friday, October 28, 2011. Beloved wife of the late Nicholas Koundouros. Devoted mother of Crystalline Posze and her husband Albert. Mary was predeceased by her son James Koundouros and is survived by his wife Eileen. Loving grandmother of Jennifer Hallowell and her husband Michael. Cherished great-grandmother of Paul and Anderson. Mary spent many years as the owner and operator of Nick’s Deli in Jersey City and later began a career as an Insurance Examiner at Empire Mutual in New York City. She was also a longtime member of St. Nicholas’ Greek Orthodox Church. Family and friends are invited to visit Sunday 2-4 & 7-9 PM at the Volk Leber Funeral Home, 789 Teaneck Rd., Teaneck, NJ.
