Obituary

Mr. Russell C. Woodworth, of Taunton and formerly of Weymouth, died Wednesday, October 26 in Morton Hospital following a period of failing health. He was the husband of the late Virginia “Ginger” Woodworth, and was the loving companion of Joanne M. (Levesque) Devine of Taunton. He was born 76 years ago in Quincy, the son of the late Harold O. and Evelyn A. (Price) Woodworth. He was raised and educated in Weymouth and was a graduate of Northeastern University in Boston. Mr. Woodworth had been a Taunton resident for most of his life. Prior to his retirement, he had been employed as a mechanic for South Shore Engines of Quincy for many years. He enjoyed listening to music, dancing, attending yard sales, and spending time with his companion’s children, Michael, David and Kim, and was known as “Pepere” by her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
In addition to his companion, he leaves: 1 brother: Robert Woodworth and his wife, Frances of New Hampshire, and many nieces and nephews. He was also the brother of the late Muriel Wright of Florida.
Funeral services and interment will be private at the convenience of the family. Visiting Hours are respectfully omitted. Expressions of sympathy in his memory may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association,
