Obituary

Mr. James Cuylor Lovett

Evans, GA – Mr. James Cuylor Lovett, 83, beloved husband of the late Betty Wood Lovett entered into rest on Monday, October 24, 2011 at Brandon Wilde.

A celebration of life will be held at 2:00 PM on Friday, October 28, 2011 at Platt’s Belair Road Chapel with the Rev. Mike McAfee. Interment to follow in Westover Memorial Park.

Mr. Lovett retired as General Superintendant of the Construction Area with Dupont at the Savannah River Plant. He was also a retired Colonel from the Georgia National Guard. Upon his retirement, Mr. Lovett established Lovett Enterprises, Inc.

Mr. Lovett was a member of Warren Baptist Church where he served as a deacon. He also served as a Gideon distributing bibles and speaking at local churches on behalf of the organization.

Mr. Lovett was an avid gardener and was best known for his rose garden. Known for his strong work ethic and generosity, his family and friends will always treasure him as a positive role model.

Mr. Lovett is survived by his daughter, Kathy Moorer and husband Mason; his grandchildren, Cuylor Leverett and wife Brittany, and Katy Towns and husband Kirby; by his brothers, Walter Lovett and wife Shirley, and Charlie Lovett and wife Lanell; and also by his sisters, Dell Coyle and husband Frank, and Rose Gibbs and husband Edward.

Pallbearers will be Cuylor Leverett, Anthony Lovett, Chip Lovett, Steve Proctor, Willis Sanders, and Kirby Towns.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday evening, October 27, 2011 from 6:00 to 8:00 PM.
